Essential "55" Worksheet Project (MP2)

MyBio Google Slides Project 2016-2017 (MP2) / Start of HERO PROJECT

Students will review directions for the 2016-2017 Interview A Veteran / Hero Project (Click Title For Project Requirements).  Each student must complete a Single-Slide Presentation for this project prior to the end of the Marking Period.  Once reviewed, please follow the instructions below to begin the Heritage/MyBio Presentation Project.  Good Luck! Google Document - Autobiography Project (MP2)

Today you will log in to your Google Gmail Account and then open your Google Drive. You will CREATE a new document. This document will be a one-full-page Autobiography all about you. I have copied and pasted my example below. Please use the whole page to describe everything about you since you were born. You must use proper grammar, spelling, sentences, and be prepared to SHARE it directly from Google Drive to Mr. S. You must use no larger than a 12-font Times New Roman and single space lines. Please leave a line between paragraphs. I am looking forward to reading these, and you will be creating a Presentation from the content later this week. DRAW.IO Graphic Organizers Made Easy (MP2)

Today you will design graphic organizers on DRAW.IO.  Please create a Personal Timeline and Family Tree in a digital format.  You must create these from scratch using DRAW.IO.   YOU MUST CREATE A HAND-DRAWN VERSION BEFORE  WORKING ON A DIGITAL VERSION ONLINE! To start, use a blank piece of paper to list your birthday, list all the schools you have attended, list any significant events in your life (birthdays, deaths, weddings, graduations, holidays, family trips, honors, awards, or any other events you can remember) and the dates they happened.  Sign In to Google.  Open DRAW.IO and CONNECT it to your Google Drive.  Open a New Blank Document.  Begin to drag boxes into the timeline and label them in order.  Once you have created your first box with a date underneath, you can now select the box, copy and paste a new one next to it, and link them with an arrow.  Continue until you have listed all the events up to today's date....

SOS.FBI.GOV Quiz / Khan Academy / Gamestar Mechanic

TODAY ALL MARKING PERIOD 2 STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE A QUIZ ON SOS.FBI.GOV!  Please see Mr. Scribner for a Quiz Code.  You will only be able to take the quiz once.  You have had at least two days to work on the material on the SOS.FBI.GOV website last week.  Once you have completed your quiz, the site will show you your score.  You will then follow the directions below to create an account on KHAN ACADEMY.  Anytime you are finished with work in any class, you can use Khan Academy to learn new material, tutor yourself in subjects you are having trouble with, or just to review new information about any of the classes offered there for free. Today we will be working online with pixlr.com. This is a powerful website (CLICK HERE) to help you work with and manipulate digital photographs. Please use the time today to explore this software using pictures from Google Images. We will eventually be learning to take pictures and create a photo project book for the entire school. This will be an artistic project aimed at helping you to use photography, journalism, and Microsoft Publisher. ASSIGNMENT: CREATE, ADJUST, ASSEMBLE and SHARE a Photo Collage as listed below using pictures (Must Conform To Collegium Charter School Standard Use Guidelines) and use PIXLR.Com to change them and make them your own. Google Drive Introduction: Collaboration Made Easy!

Today you will be learning the basics about using your Google Drive and other online and computer-based tools.  Read the passage below as an introduction to these tools, and be prepared to follow along in class while we Log-In, Create, Share, and Collaborate on different projects! Google Drive is a great way to create, store, share, and collaborate files such as documents, spreadsheets, photos, slide shows and PDFs.  If you create a personal Gmail account, then you automatically have 15 GB of free space.  If you have an education account, like all CCS Students, then you have unlimited space to store files.  Your files in Drive can be reached from any smart phone, tablet, or computer with an Internet connection.
