Political Process Day III (7/3)

Political Races II (7/2)

The first thing you must do today is create a link on your WEEBLY website (Home Page) to your Marquise Video (10-15 seconds) that is stored in your GDrive.  You do this by opening your GDrive and selecting the video you uploaded.  Click SHARE and change the permissions (middle of page) from Private to Link Only, then COPY the link address in the box above.  Open your WEEBLY website and click EDIT.  Add a picture or text about the Marquise Project and highlight the text.  Click the LINK symbol in the editor at the top-center of the screen.   PASTE the video link address into the box and make sure to put a check mark in the box above to OPEN IN NEW WINDOW.  Hit SAVE and then hit the PUBLISH Button in the top right of the screen.  A blue box should appear with the active web address of your site.  CLICK the BLUE ADDRESS and go to your live site.  Scan down to the TEXT you just created and Click it to View your video.  Anyone who sees ...

The Political Races (Primary) (7/1)

This week you will be working on Political Propaganda. Your party must create Buttons,Flyers,Speeches,Bumper Stickers, and other materials for your run for office. You will be graded together. Please use Apple IWork Pages to create your items. PSA Turn-In Procedures (6/3)

To turn in your Public Service Announcement you must follow the directions in the previous post to complete the project (Click Here To See The Post) .  You must then add (by importing into IMovie) the Marquise Project for both of the students working on your project.  These Marquise projects must be added to the end of your PSA IMovie before exporting the final movie.  SHARE and EXPORT the final draft of your IMovie PSA to your desktop.  Open your GDrive online and by clicking the RED box next to CREATE, UPLOAD your IMovie PSA and then SHARE it with me. Make sure you also send me the email Bibliography (See yesterday's post) to get credit for the assignment.  Google adds a second to most videos, so make sure that you allow for that before sending it to me. Public Service Announcements (IMovie) (6/1)

Habit #1 Reflection and Marquise Project (5/3)

We will start today by creating a journal entry after discussing (yesterday) Habit #1 from the 7-Habits of Highly Effective People (Covey).  Please pay attention to the information and answer the following questions in your Journal (Weebly.com).  If you missed our discussion, please download and view the link (Habit #1 Video) to the left. How will you try to "carry the weather with you" from now on.  What can you do to encourage others to see this as an important first step in being more mature?  When you are finished with the Journal Entry for today, please continue to work on your Marquise Project.  Your Marquise will be used in the next project as part of your Public Service Announcement.  See details below for requirements. IMovie Marquise Project (5/2)

Please create a Movie Marquis in IMovie.  It should be 10 to 15 seconds long and use audio, pictures/video, titles and effects.  You must create your music for this project with GarageBand.  You may not use commercially available music.  When you have edited the movie and created it, please use the SHARE function and EXPORT video to the desktop.  Upload that file to your Google Drive and share it with me for credit for the project. GarageBand in all of it's glory!! (5/1)

Today we will hear the rest of your presentations.  There are only a handful of students that need to go.  Afterwards, please follow directions while you open GarageBand.  I want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to create some custom music for the IMovie project tomorrow. Steps to help you: 1.  Open Apple's GarageBand Application. 2.  Watch the "Building A Song" (Click For Link) 3.  Use the HELP section with the class on the Main Screen 4.  Use the headphones to listen to GarageBand while you create a personal track. 5.  Try to create a track that is 10-15 seconds long 6.  Use the instruments listed in the Loop Browser. 7.  Look in the SHARE drop down list to EXPORT your work to the desktop. 8.  Import the track you created into IMOVIE for use in the Marquise Project 9.  You might want to Upload it to your GDrive so you do not lose it. Autobiobraphy Presentations (4/2,3,4)

Everyone: You have done an outstanding job finding the courage to present to your peers.  While the presentations themselves are a little rough, I applaud your effort and I look forward to even better presentations for the next project.  Next week you must be prepared to work with GarageBand and IMovie.  We will be creating our own music, original Marquise's to identify your personal production companies, and finally you and a partner will create a 30-60 minute Public Service Announcement on a topic of your choosing.  It should prove to be a fun week.  Enjoy the three-day weekend and I will see you Tuesday!! - Mr. S
